Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and self-sufficient Bookkeeper with US Taxation and QuickBooks Desktop expertise to manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks Desktop (not QuickBooks Online)

  • Perform end-to-end bookkeeping, including:

    • Accounts payable and receivable

    • Bank and credit card reconciliations

    • Journal entries and general ledger maintenance

  • Prepare monthly and year-end financial reports

  • Support tax preparation activities, including organizing financial data and schedules

  • Collaborate with internal teams or external accountants as needed

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies

  • Identify discrepancies and proactively resolve bookkeeping issues

Qualifications

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 3–5 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience

  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop

  • Hands-on tax preparation experience is a strong plus

  • Experience with Lacerte tax software is a plus

  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal handholding

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
