We’re looking for a Data Engineer who thrives in building scalable data platforms and wants to work on a high-impact, data-intensive project—all while enjoying the flexibility of remote work. If you enjoy designing pipelines, integrating systems, and working with modern cloud data stacks—this role is for you.

What You’ll Be Building:

Data Platform & Pipeline Engineering

• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines for structured (CSV) data ingestion
• Build and optimize pipelines for data lakes and warehouses (Azure Data Lake, Synapse)
• Ensure reliable, high-volume data processing

Platform Integration & API Data Flows

• Develop and maintain REST API integrations and system connectors
• Integrate with third-party systems (e.g., HMIS, partner platforms)
• Enable seamless data flow across platforms and reporting tools

Data Quality, Governance & Compliance

• Implement data validation, integrity, and deduplication processes
• Build systems aligned with “single source of truth” principles
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, SOC2, and regulatory requirements

Collaboration & Engineering Excellence

• Work closely with engineers to align data & application architecture
• Contribute to Agile workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and code reviews
• Help shape cloud and data architecture decisions

What You Bring

Must-Have:

• 4+ years in Data Engineering / Backend Data Systems
• Strong experience with:
  • SQL Server & relational databases
  • Azure Data Stack (Data Lake, Synapse, Data Factory)
  • ETL/ELT pipeline development
• Experience with APIs, distributed systems, and data platforms
• Familiarity with Power BI or similar tools
• Solid understanding of Agile, CI/CD, version control

Nice to Have

• Experience in healthcare, nonprofit, or government systems
• Exposure to Microsoft Fabric
• Background in compliance-heavy environments (HUD, Medicaid, etc.)
