We are looking for an experienced AI Animation Producer & Video Editor to turn scripts, lessons, characters, and story concepts into polished animated videos.
This is an AI-first production role, but it is not simply a prompting role. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing AI tools, maintaining consistent characters and environments, correcting imperfect generations, editing scenes together, and delivering complete videos that feel cohesive and intentionally produced.
Projects may include:
Character-led educational videos
Talking-character and lip-synced segments
Animated demonstrations and visual explanations
Multi-character mini-stories
Short-form social and promotional content
Longer educational videos for courses and digital platforms
You will work closely with an Instructional Designer who will provide learning objectives, scripts, educational content, story concepts, and feedback. The Instructional Designer will own the accuracy and instructional purpose of the content. You will own the visual interpretation, animation, editing, and final production while recommending creative approaches that make each lesson clearer and more memorable.
Use AI image, video, animation, voice, and editing tools to produce polished animated content.
Translate scripts, storyboards, lesson objectives, and creative concepts into complete videos.
Create expressive talking-character animation with believable facial expressions, body movement, eye contact, and lip synchronization.
Produce multi-scene stories featuring recurring characters, environments, props, and camera angles.
Determine the right combination of AI tools, compositing, motion design, and traditional editing techniques for each project.
Refine, regenerate, composite, and manually correct AI outputs rather than relying on the first generated result.
Identify and resolve common AI problems, including visual drift, distorted movement, inconsistent faces or hands, lip-sync errors, changing clothing, and continuity issues.
Maintain consistent character appearance, proportions, clothing, colors, expressions, voices, and personalities across scenes and episodes.
Create and manage character reference sheets, style guides, prompt libraries, model settings, and reusable production assets.
Maintain continuity in environments, props, lighting, scale, and visual details.
Help establish a repeatable visual language that reflects the warm, timeless storybook aesthetic.
Organize assets and workflows so characters and environments can be reproduced efficiently in future projects.
Edit animated scenes into cohesive videos with clear storytelling, natural pacing, and emotional warmth.
Incorporate voiceovers, music, sound effects, titles, captions, transitions, and graphic elements.
Perform compositing, masking, color correction, audio cleanup, motion graphics, and other post-production work as needed.
Ensure videos have clear audio, readable text, age-appropriate pacing, and accessible captions.
Adapt videos into multiple lengths, aspect ratios, and formats for courses, social media, advertising, websites, and other channels.
Maintain organized project files, source assets, prompts, feedback, versions, and final deliverables.
Work closely with the Instructional Designer throughout development, production, review, and revision.
Ask thoughtful questions when scripts, learning objectives, or creative direction require clarification.
Incorporate instructional, creative, and brand feedback accurately and efficiently.
Flag production limitations or continuity concerns early and recommend practical solutions.
Suggest visual demonstrations, character reactions, storytelling devices, and animation techniques that make difficult ideas easier for children to understand.
Stay current on evolving AI production tools and evaluate new technologies based on quality, consistency, licensing, and efficiency.
Document successful workflows so production methods can be repeated and scaled.
Use only tools, models, voices, music, images, and other assets that are appropriately licensed for commercial use.
Protect confidential scripts, characters, production assets, and company information.
Professional experience in animation, video editing, motion design, visual storytelling, or a closely related field.
Demonstrated experience using generative AI to create images, video, animation, voices, or character-based content.
A strong understanding of character consistency and continuity across AI-generated scenes.
Proficiency with professional editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent tools.
Strong skills in composition, pacing, visual storytelling, sound, and editing.
Experience working with scripts, storyboards, voiceovers, and multi-scene video projects.
Ability to identify and correct subtle problems in AI-generated visuals, movement, audio, and continuity.
Strong communication skills and the ability to implement detailed creative and instructional feedback.
Excellent organization, version-control practices, and attention to detail.
Ability to manage projects, revisions, and deadlines while working independently.
A portfolio or demo reel demonstrating relevant AI animation and video-production work.
Experience creating content for children, families, education, publishing, or entertainment.
Experience collaborating with instructional designers, educators, curriculum developers, or subject-matter experts.
Familiarity with age-appropriate instruction and educational storytelling.
Experience developing recurring characters or episodic content.
Illustration, character-design, storyboarding, or graphic-design experience.
Experience with character-reference workflows, custom models, LoRAs, image-to-video tools, or other consistency-focused techniques.
Experience with AI voice generation, voice direction, dubbing, and lip synchronization.
Experience creating hand-painted, illustrated, or classic storybook aesthetics.
Experience building production workflows that use multiple AI and traditional creative tools.
Please submit a portfolio or demo reel that includes as many of the following as possible:
AI-generated animation or video
A recurring character shown consistently across multiple scenes
Talking-character or lip-synced content
Multi-scene animated storytelling
Video editing and post-production
Educational or children’s content
Character design, illustration, motion graphics, or storyboarding
For at least one project, briefly explain:
Which portions you personally created
Which AI and editing tools you used
How you maintained character and environmental consistency
What problems appeared in the original AI output
How you corrected or improved those problems
How you incorporated feedback or revisions
When possible, include examples of the original AI output alongside the finished work.
Shortlisted applicants may be invited to complete a brief paid production exercise using client's materials.
