Overview

The Editor, Mystery Shopping reviews mystery shopping reports completed by shoppers, to ensure the shop meets all customer requirements and quality standards. The Editor works cross-functionally with the team, including the Mystery Shopping Team, as well as shoppers and customers, as directed.  This role supports the Mystery Shopping team by helping to ensure consistent delivery and customer satisfaction with mystery shopping results.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation are used throughout mystery shopping reports provided by shoppers. 

  • Ensure all comments correspond with the yes/no questions throughout the report and any attached audio or video recordings. 

  • Ensure all customer shop contract specifications are followed by the shopper when completing the shop.

  • Work with their immediate supervisor and shoppers as needed on any questions regarding a shop in their Edit queue.

  • Submit a Bi-Weekly Productivity sheet to their supervisor that reflects the daily tally of reports edited and the time spent. 

  • Complete all work in their Edit queue daily (i.e., before the next round of shops are placed into their queue).

  • Participate in 1:1s with their immediate Supervisor, as applicable.

  • Consistently apply professionalism in all aspects of communication with internal and external customers.

 

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Strong critical thinking, reading comprehension, and writing skills.

  • Proficient in grammar, spelling, and general writing.

  • Detail-oriented and thorough.

  • Good listening skills.

  • Solid computer/data entry skills.

  • Analytical and interpretive ability – Must be able to use contextual evidence and knowledge of the subject matter to analyze confusing, disorganized information and communicate effectively on solutions.

  • Must know when to seek answers over making assumptions and how to ask the right questions. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required;

  • Self-directed and capable of working on assigned tasks with limited daily supervision

  • Strong organizational skills and intense attention to detail

  • Willingness to take initiative and learn/apply new concepts

  • Professional and effective oral and written communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel  (or Google Docs and Google Sheets) required

  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus
